Once a new order is placed, suppliers receive an email alert so their customer service teams can review the content of the order and download an electronic version in the right format to upload to their system, eliminating the need to re-key the data).
That supplier, and their 3PL (Third Party Logistics Partner) can then process the order in the usual manner and generate any required EDI response files such as Purchase Orders, Responses, Acknowledgements, Dispatch Notes and Invoices.
